South Station is 12 commercial condominiums within four buildings totaling 12,860 square feet. Designed, built and sold by the G3 team.
Each building is constructed with 2x6 certified green lumber, low VOC paints and finishes, 17' ceilings, great window placement for day-lighting and ventilation, and stained concrete floors with radiant heating.
The G3 office building, which is featured in this slide-show, has unique energy features, including solar hot water for domestic use and building heating, photovoltaic grid-tie panels, and a radiant cooling system which radiates heat from the slab to the summer night sky. This building also features a full kitchen, shower, many built-in desks, shelves and storage closets and is completely wired for a computer network.
